In April 2027, I will be aiming to complete my 10th marathon, by running around the streets of London. I was due to complete this marathon in memory of my father in law Phil, back in 2025, but it was put on hold due to a fully ruptured Achilles tendon.

In December 2023, Phil Highton, passed away after a 12 month battle with a rare form of cancer, Sarcoma.

Our family has continued to support Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. I am still working on getting my ankle strong and I am not yet pain free, so this marathon may involve some slow running and walking, but it is one I am determined to complete!
