London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Child Rescue Nepal frees children from slavery. We rescue children, keep them safe and reunite them with their families. Child Rescue Nepal has rescued over 1,000 children but our work is far from over. We want to end child slavery in Nepal and we won’t stop until every child is free.

Story

I’m incredibly proud to be running the iconic London Marathon 2025 for Child Rescue Nepal—an amazing charity that physically rescues children from abuse, trafficking, and forced labour in Nepal.

If you know me, you’ll know how much Nepal and this charity mean to me. Since my first visit in 2001, Nepal has held a special place in my heart. Over the past decade, I’ve volunteered on community and healthcare projects, including rebuilding schools in the Gorkha district, setting up shelters in the Kathmandu Valley, and installing TVs at Kanti Children’s Hospital after the 2015 earthquake. I also campaign for gender equality in Nepal alongside my inspiring friend, Beni Rane Ghale, and volunteer with Child Rescue Nepal as their website and communications administrator.

Now, I’m taking on this 26.2-mile challenge to raise at least £2,000 to support Child Rescue Nepal’s life-changing work. The smallest contributions can make a huge difference to the 100,000 children living and working in hazardous conditions in Nepal. For example:

💛 £5 can feed two children for a month.

💛 £26 can provide school lunches for a year.

💛 £50 funds vital teacher training.

🙏 A massive thank-you to everyone who has already donated or supported me—you’re incredible! Every penny goes towards rescuing, caring for, and empowering children to live safe, happy, and healthy lives. 🌟

Just recently, Child Rescue Nepal rescued its 1,000th child, but with so many still at risk, there’s so much more to do.

Your generosity and encouragement mean the world—thank you! 🙏
