AFPST Summit to Sea Andorra to Spain

I along with 3 other team members will complete a 310km trek from Andorra - Spain with an elevation gain of 14000 meters! We will be raising vital funds for the Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team (AFPST). This charity has assisted me on my journey and my continued recovery after an eventful 26yr military career where I participated in notable and major campaigns, and some not so significant to families back home, exposed to some diverse and challenging environments, witnessing the realities of war and it's impact on others, not only have they continued to assist me but countless others from around the world.
The trip is already funded by a sponsor and myself, so all money raised on this page goes directly to the charity, and does not offset any costs for this trip! This is one of several endeavours being completed throughout the year and money raised uses the restorative and transforming power of para-snowsports to accelerate and support the recovery and welfare of our wounded, injured and sick (WIS) military personnel and veterans.
What is this endeavour?
The AFPST 5 Challenge Europe Series Fundraiser is an initiative taking place from December 2024 to September 2025, where AFSPT Athletes and Staff will engage in a series of 5 challenging events across Europe.
The challenges include a 310km trek in Andorra & Spain with an elevation gain of 14000 meters. In France, participants will tackle a 30km Ski Marathon to demonstrate their endurance and skills on the slopes. The challenging terrain of Spain will see the team embark on a trek from sea to summit, conquering the highest mountain in Spain over 3 days, covering 82km with a 5000m ascent. Sweden will host an extraordinary 24-hour Skiathlon where participants will push themselves to ski non-stop for an entire day. Finally, the team will cycle the NC500 in Scotland within 5 days, showcasing the scenic beauty of the Scottish countryside while continuing their fundraising efforts.
The magnitude of this endeavour cannot be understated, as it will test their physical and mental strength to the very core. But their unwavering mission transcends personal achievements and aspires to raise significant fund, to ensure AFPST continues to empower our deserving athletes and propel them forward.
Who are AFPST?
The AFPST is an independent charity, registered in the UK, that uses the restorative and transforming power of para-snowsports to accelerate and support the recovery and welfare of our wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans.
What is para-snow sport?
Para-snowsport - adaptive snowboarding, alpine or Nordic skiing - offers a unique environment for those with physical or psychological conditions to achieve individual and team goals. The sport helps to push boundaries, challenge perception and change lives.
Why should you support this endeavour?
Through supporting our beneficiaries and joining the team, we will demonstrate the inspiring power of a life that dares to break boundaries. Together we can harness the spirit of challenge and you can get actively involved and become part of our snow family, building lasting relationships. We will challenge the collective perception of what is possible and what can be achieved in order to inspire your organisation.
