Story
On 26th April, I’ll be lacing up and taking on the London Marathon — 26.2 miles — to raise money for Brain Research UK.
One in six of us will be affected by a neurological condition at some point in our lives. Brain tumours, stroke, dementia, motor neurone disease, epilepsy — the list is long, and for too many families these diagnoses still come with more questions than answers. Brain Research UK funds the pioneering work that’s changing that: better treatments, earlier diagnoses, and ultimately, cures.
Training has been tough. Early mornings, long runs in the rain, and more energy gels than I’d like to admit. But none of it compares to what people living with neurological conditions face every day — which is why I’m running.
Every pound you give goes directly to life-changing research. Whatever you can spare will make a real difference, and it’ll keep me moving when the miles get hard.
Thank you. I’ll be thinking of you at mile 20.
