Story
Currently Wigan & Leigh Hospice requires £12,000 PER DAY to stay open and active to provide end of life care and support to those who need it.
It's extremely rare to come across someone who hasn't had some connection to Wigan and Leigh Hospice within the borough. Over the years a number of friends and relatives have been cared for by the hospice, very recently losing our beloved Angela who was brilliantly cared for at Wigan and Leigh hospice.
At 6am on Christmas Eve we will set off from The Brick Community Stadium, Wigan and head upto the Toughsheet Community Stadium, Bolton, then heading onto the Leigh Sports Village before setting off back towards the Brick Community Stadium to finish our 26.2 mile round trip.
This route is a symbolical connection between the Wigan and Leigh community.
The staff at Wigan & Leigh Hospice don't get days off over Christmas and often spend it supporting grieving families. Any donations you can spare to help support the Hospice is much appreciated.
Merry Christmas 🎄
