Story
Hello!
We're back. In 2024, at very short notice, 27 of us came together in the early hours of Christmas Eve morning to run a Marathon in aid of Wigan & Leigh Hospice. Between us we managed to raise a whopping £4,086.36!
It was only ever supposed to be a one off but thanks to the loving generosity of all those who donated to the fundraiser and those who gave up their time to take part, it was only right we came back this year!
We'll be following the same route, starting at 6am from The Brick Community stadium in Wigan upto The Toughsheet Community Stadium in Bolton, across to the Leigh Sports Village before heading back home to Wigan to finish.
This route is symbolic of just a small percentage of the area covered by the care of Wigan & Leigh hospice whilst touching base with Wigan Warriors and Leigh Leopards, both ambassadors for the hospice
We managed a group total of 27 last year, it would be amazing to get more out to join us and hopefully beat our fundraising target from last year!
Wigan & Leigh Hospice provides vital care, comfort, and support to local people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Every donation helps the hospice continue offering compassionate end-of-life care, emotional support, and dignity when it matters most — making a real difference in your community.
Santa hats and running shorts at the ready 🎅🏻!
Thank you,
Jonathan and all the team 🙏🏼
