JON’S fundraiser for Scoliosis Support and Research

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have chosen this charity as my daughter Poppy who is 7 years old has scoliosis. Poppy was born with scoliosis although she wasn’t diagnosed until she was 6 months old. Poppy has been through several plaster cast jackets and bracing to try and hold her curve as she grew. At the age of 4 Poppy had surgery to have growth rods inserted to help to straighten her spinal curve. Poppy is now on her 4th growth rod lengthening surgery. She amazes me how she deals with everything that she goes through. Poppy still has a long way to go in her scoliosis journey but as always she will have a smile on her face, and in her words is a ‘Pro at this now!’
I am going to challenge myself day by day, week by week and month by month to get myself to where I want to be to take on this Big challenge. This charity is close to my heart and I want to make a difference.
The money I am hoping to raise for scoliosis will help with funding innovative research to improve treatment options for people with scoliosis and make more awareness for this condition.
I will keep you all updated on my progress for the London Marathon 2025 through my just giving page and social media.
