Story

I first met Pastor Leonard Gcabashe about 15 years ago on his first visit to the UK, support coming from Medic Assist International.

I was immediately impressed by his love for God and for the poor, sick and needy in his local community, Embo; inland from Durban in South Africa.

At that time HIV, Aids and TB were ravaging the community, killing many, leaving hundreds of orphans and depriving the neighbourhoods of many in the working community.

Generous financial support has been given over those years which has enabled a clinic to be built, more recently a Care Home; together with the practical hands on love, care and devotion provided by Community Care Givers.

Jo and I were fortunate enough to spend most of 2016 in South Africa working alongside Leonard. We were constantly amazed at the difference Leonard, his wife Gladys and the church community were able to make through selfless love and sacrifice.

The work continues and Leonard is visiting the UK currently visiting supporters and friends.

Please make a donation, every bit helps. Thank you very much.
