JUDE'S STORY
I am fundraising for Heel and Toe in the name of Jude Fingleton to support the very important work the charity undertakes.
Jude was born on 22nd March 2024 in Durham City via C-section. Unfortunately, when Jude first arrived, he couldn’t breathe and had to be resuscitated and kept stable until specialists came from the RVI. When Elle (Jude’s mam) met Jude, he was incubated, and she was told that Jude’s best chance was to be transferred to the RVI but it was made clear he might not survive the journey as he was so poorly.
Having spent 2 months in the neonatal unit Jude had to be resuscitated twice so the consultants decided the best thing and safest thing for Jude was a tracheostomy at 4 months old.
Fast forward many procedures, lots of love and care from family and health care professionals Jude is thriving and determined to live his best life.
Due to the amount time Jude has been in hospital his development and milestones haven’t been met. The Heel and Toe charity was recommended by a friend to help Jude hit those milestones.
Jude currently attends physio and the hydro-pool to help meet his goals. The staff and facilities are amazing, and he has such a warm welcome. Heel and toe are a charity and do not receive any government funding.
Your kind donations with help fund these sessions for as long as Jude and other children like him, he need them.
