Story
I am running my first and quite possibly last marathon on the 27th April in hopefully sunny London.
Prior to getting offered a place via the ballot - something I didn't think for a second I would get (1 in 30 people do) the longest I had ever run was 10km and that was only twice and that felt like too far for anyone to need to run!
Since then I've undertaken many longer and hillier runs to try and ensure I make it to the finish line in one piece - I am not concerned by my time - much more concerned about survival!
I have a significant amount of blisters and aches and pains as a result.
I would love to use this opportunity to raise money for one of the most under valued resources - SOIL!
Soil underpins all like on Earth and it is in trouble.. we need to help it as 95% of all food production is dependent upon it!
Important Facts about Soil:
1. One teaspoon of soil is home to more organisms than people on Earth (over 10 billion)
2. Every minute we lose the equivalent to 30 football pitches of fertile soil.
3. Soil stores more carbon than all of our forests and atmosphere combined - we need to help more more carbon in the soil
Any and all donations super appreciated!
