Story
My love of dogs is well known. My wife thinks I love our dogs more than I love her. This isn't true, but the love we have for our dogs comes with a sincerity and tenderness that isn't found elsewhere.
It's not just that I love dogs. It's the love and attention dogs give us when humans need it.
They guide blind people. They also support people post trauma. They give us back our confidence with their companionship, affection and devotion, no questions asked. These dogs are so badly needed across Israel, and beyond.
Transforming lives has been the mission of Israeli Guide Dogs since they created their first partnership in 1991. They breed, raise, train, and place Guide Dogs for people with visual impairments. Over time, the Israel Guide Dog Centre has expanded their work to provide PTSD Service Dogs for Veterans, and Emotional Support Dogs for children on the autism spectrum.
All dogs transform lives by providing independence, safe mobility, companionship, and confidence.
