Story
The first time I heard about Rainbow Trust was the ILC Motor Networking Lunch over 10 years ago. Rainbow Trust provides support for families who have a child with a serious illness and each year at the lunches I watch these videos that show the support Rainbow Trust gives families every day.
I’m well aware of the impact this can have on the family, my brother having cancer, a Stage IV Wilms Tumour with 9 secondary tumours on his lungs, as a toddler, and the support our family needed as my parents went through hell daily as they travelled across the country from hospital to hospital while trying to maintain some kind of normality.
With this in mind, I'm taking part in the Arctic Adventure Challenge in support of Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. Trekking across the Arctic, camping, walking and pulling a sledge.
For those that don’t know me, I’m Jonathon, a techy who works in the insurance space.
I’m not a fan of the cold. I like heat and sand and warmth. I like ice in my drink. I’ve never done anything like this before, but I’m excited for the challenge!
It’s going to a physical challenge so I’ve until March 2026 to get in shape!
It’s a fantastic cause and I’m hoping you’ll all help me raise as much money as possible for an amazing charity!
