Story
I am a firm believer that if you are asking for someone's hard earned money then you better make it worthwhile..... this one will be tough and a very worthwhile cause.
Having completed this challenge before in 10 days with comfy hotel rooms, fuelled by nice steak dinners, a light bike and great company.. this time will be different and a lot harder.
I am cycling from John O Groats to Lands End, on my own with emergency support only (I will explain that bit shortly), targeting 7 days, carrying all my kit and sleeping in as comfy a bush or patch of grass I can find.. I will share pictures and videos I promise. Food, anything I can find, but don't panic I can consume McDonalds and Subways at a pretty good rate..
I was diagnosed with something called Long QT syndrome, rather than bore you too much with details feel free to visit the link below. It doesn't really bother me too much of the time but I know I have it and I can avoid taking or doing the wrong things.. a lot of people are not that lucky which is why I am supporting this great charity. Both of my boys might have this, they have monitoring every 6 - 12 months so honestly, we consider ourselves so fortunate to know this.
