In a moment of madness we decided to take on Shrewsbury Half Marathon to raise money for a cause close to our hearts - the Children’s Ward at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

When our little boy, Tomi, was two weeks old he began having seizures and scans showed that he had blood clots on his brain. This was an incredibly worrying and uncertain time for us as a family. Tomi stayed on the Children’s Ward at Telford for a couple of weeks and the care he received was fantastic.

Tomi has made a brilliant recovery and at 18 months old he is now thriving. We will forever be grateful to the staff on the Children’s Ward for helping us through such a tough time.
