Story
On the 21st april 2023 my son made a very quick entrance into the world after a long fertility battle for myself and my partner.
Quickly after birth our Son shown signs of breathing issues and rapid heart rate. Midwives acted fast at bolton hospital and rang for a Dr to come and take a look at our son. After a few Dr's reviewing him it was decided that he needed to be admitted to NICU and treated for an infection somewhere in his body. To date this was the scariest time in our lives. Our son Tommy was treated for sepsis and had numerous test done whilst in their care.
Day two of High dependency care we came across a volunteer from Spoons. A lovely woman that sat with my partner and engaged in just normal chat. Kadey came away telling me how relaxed this woman made her feel. Throughout our time here we were visited by a few members of spoons who were incredible with our daughter and made her feel at ease. The support this team shown our family and others was next to none and myself and my family are extremely grateful for what they do.
