Story
Hey friends!
As a first-time marathon runner, I’m lacing up my trainers not just for personal glory (though let's be honest, I'll be very pleased to make it to that finish line), but for a very worthwhile cause: Time and Talents. This amazing local charity is a lifeline for both the young and the elderly in the East London community, providing free activities that foster connection, skill-building, and the joy of shared experiences. From after-school programs for kids to social events for seniors, Time and Talents enriches lives in ways big and small.
Why am I running? Because in a world where time can feel like it’s slipping away, Time and Talents makes every moment count. And let's face it, if I can run 26.2 miles, surely I can help make a lasting impact on the lives of those who need it most. - Now that’s a race worth running!
With your support, I'll be running every step with the spirit of Time and Talents in mind: helping others, building community, and showing that even a marathon can be a shared journey. Let’s make it happen!
Thank you for all of your support, whatever you can contribute is hugely appreciated and see you on race day!
Jonny

Based in the heart of Rotherhithe in South East London, Time & Talents provides vital support, fun and friendship to local kids, families and older people. We deeply value our community, and work hard to help everyone feel valued, connected and included.
By donating to the Time & Talents London Marathon 2025 team, you'll be enabling us to support local people, young and old, from the little ones who have fun digging and planting at our Little Bugs Nature Club, to the older adults who have made new friends at our walking groups. Every donation allows us to continue our work, whether matching volunteer befrienders with housebound older people, running our Stroke Club, or providing kids with fun activities, healthy food and opportunities to make new friends.
We spend every pound our Marathon team raises on fighting the isolation experienced by so many older people, and on supporting kids and families bearing the brunt of years of government cuts and reduced services.
