Jordan’s London marathon for best foot forward for Georgie!!

Jordan Curwen is raising money for Just4Children

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Just4Children are fundraising for one incredible little girl's dream, the dream to be able to run and to lead as normal a life as possible.

Story

Not all children are born equal.

On the 11th January 2015 Georgie Smith was born. At 10 days old she was diagnosed with a rare, inherited and life long genetic disease (Glutaric Acidura type one). The disease is life threatening, however she survived.

Some kids are born fighting.

Part of the disease sadly causes brain damage, to the part of the brain that controls movement and speech.

Life for Georgie is different and somewhat uncertain to what the future holds.

Georgie lights up a room with her positivity, bravery, personality and smile. She is sunshine in human form and is now 10.

On the 27th April l will be running the London marathon for Georgie, fundraising to give her every opportunity possible to lead a fulfilled life in the face of so much challenge.

Her dream is so be able to run, and with specialist Physiotherapy and treatments this might one day be possible. Just4children fund vital treatments that have seen her progress beyond what we ever thought would be possible, she needs this to continue.

Georgie is my little cousin. I run for her in the hope one day she is able to run for herself.

Any support would be deeply appreciated.
