Story
This September, Lewis and I will be taking part in the Great North Run in support of Epilepsy Action. As many of you know, my beautiful sister has been living with epilepsy since she was 9 years old. Despite the challenges and scary moments she’s faced, she has never let it hold her back from doing everything she’s wanted. I want to show her how proud I am of her while giving back to a charity that means so much to my family.
Every donation, big or small, will help Epilepsy Action continue their incredible work supporting people with epilepsy and raising awareness of this complex condition.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support.

What is epilepsy?
Epilepsy is a neurological condition that causes recurrent seizures due to sudden bursts of intense electrical activity in the brain. Normally, brain cells communicate through electrical signals, but during a seizure, these signals become disrupted, causing confusion in the messages sent throughout the body.
The effects of a seizure vary depending on which part of the brain is involved. Some people may lose consciousness, experience uncontrollable movements, or feel strange sensations, while others remain fully aware. For some, seizures involve stiffness, falling, and shaking.
Epilepsy is a condition that requires greater awareness and understanding, which is why I’m proud to support Epilepsy Action and the incredible work they do.
