Story
On 20th June, I’ll be throwing myself off Whitby Bridge – 160ft straight down. Anyone who knows me knows I’m an adrenaline junkie, so yes, I love a challenge… but this jump is about far more than the thrill.
I’m doing this for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, the incredible charity who saved my daughter’s life. When she was just 16 days old, they were there when we needed them most. Because of their care, skill, and compassion, my little girl is now 9 years old – laughing, growing, and living the life that once felt so uncertain.
As a parent, there is no fear greater than not knowing if your child will survive. And there is no gratitude strong enough for the people who give families hope when everything feels terrifying. This jump is my way of saying thank you, and of helping ensure other children get the same chance my daughter did.
So while I may be chasing the rush as I step off that bridge, every single second of freefall will be for her – and for every child and family still facing the hardest fight of their lives.
If you can donate, share, or simply cheer me on, it would mean the world. ❤️
