Who are Place2BE?

Place2Be is a national charitable organisation that helps cater to children facing mental health issues as they help create a safe space that allows children and young people to open up about their worries through one-to-one counselling, group interventions,, working with families and a whole school approach

Place2be aim is to improve the mental well-being of children. Families and school communities and help improve their attitude towards mental health.

Place2be also offer parenting training and workshops so that partners can support their children the wright way.

Why I’m I doing this ?

Imagine being a child and having the ability to identify that you’re going through mental health issues, that’s amazing. To do this at a young tender age helps prevent deeper unrecoverable issues from reoccurring later on in life. It displays the ability to talk about your problems head on and help eradicate any negative feelings you may have.

In todays society mental health is very much overlooked as many people don’t even recognise they’re battling with mental health or they do see it and tend to ignore the influence it has on them.

Everybody is facing some form of mental health problem and they don’t even recognise it.

I’m not great at dealing with my emotions as I don’t talk to anyone about how I’m feeling emotionally I just bottle it in and move on. That’s a mental health issue!

How you’re feeling spiritually, emotionally and physically accumulates to how you’re feeling mentally.

I want to help raise awareness to mental health in general. I want to help provide a better opportunity for the younger generation to feel equipped to deal with these types of situations so that it doesn’t cause deep inflicted trauma in the future for them.

How is the money being raised going to help?

The donations raised will be going towards the schools that need mental health counselling.

All the schools that Place2Be partner with will get much more needed well rounded support.

It will go towards all the services that place2be offer to these different schools and communities which is;

-School services

-Training and learning for school staff and families

-building and understanding of children with mental health..
