This year, I will be throwing myself into the following five activities, putting myself outside of my comfort zone.

Firstly, I will be partaking in the Bournemouth Bay half marathon run. This for me is probably going to be the toughest challenge on my body as the most I’ve ever run before is 10KM and the half marathon is over double this length.

The next challenge is another grueling task. The Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge. This consists of 100KM of spectacular World Heritage coastline. My target is to complete this within 24 hours. 24 hours of continuous walking up and down the terrain of Dorset's beautiful scenery.

The third challenge is something I’ve thought about doing but never had the purpose to until now. It will participating in the Three Peaks challenge which means I’ll be hiking the tallest mountain in England, Scotland and Wales all within 24 hours.

The fourth challenge will be the scary one. A 15,000ft skydive. Free falling for over 60 seconds is not something I’m looking forward to but it is a challenge I’m relishing to complete and face my fear of heights.

The fifth and final challenge of the year is the big one. 4 days in Iceland, trekking through caves, volcanos and icefalls, whilst camping out in the wilderness which will be a totally new and tough physical and mental task for me, again outside of my comfort zone.

All five of these challenges will be with a team of great people orchestrated by Mr Ty Temel who is an ambassador of Dorset Mind.

I am really looking forward to getting involved and testing myself in some unprecedented conditions.
