Story
I am really lucky that no one close to me has had to be cared for by St Barnabas hospice, but I do know people that have had loved ones using these services and greatly admire the work that they do. That’s why when I got ‘lucky’ in the London Marathon ballot, I knew that I had to raise money for this charity.
If you know me, you will know that I do run but this training is really hard! Especially a run with the word tempo in the title as I am much more of a plodder! So, any money you donate will be greatly appreciated and will keep me going especially in the early cold mornings!
I want to help St Barnabas Hospice raise money to be able to provide care and support to people in Lincolnshire who need it most. Any money you can donate to support me with this challenge would be greatly appreciated. You will be making a real difference to patients and families across Lincolnshire living with a life-limiting or terminal illness, ensuring St Barnabas can be there for them every day of the year.
By way of example, every £19.93 raised will enable St Barnabas to provide one hour of specialist at-home care to a patient living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
£30 will allow St Barnabas to provide a comfort bag for a child or young person. It includes a journal, mindfulness activities, books, colouring pens and pencils, a cuddle blanket with a holder for a photograph and ideas to make a memory box.
Donations of £50 would pay for the bereavement helpline to run for a day so St Barnabas can give urgent support
