This September, I'm taking on an incredible challenge, a skydive, to raise funds for The Christie’s Advanced Scanning and Imaging Centre.

This cause is deeply personal to me. Recently, I had the humbling experience of being a visitor at The Christie with my darling husband Richard. While I truly hope you never need to be there, I want you to know what an extraordinary place it is.

From the moment you walk through the doors, you feel it the compassion, the care, the thought that has gone into making such a difficult time that little bit easier. Every detail has been considered to offer patients and their loved ones comfort, dignity, and hope. And seeing it first hand, I can tell you with absolute certainty the money raised really does make a difference.

The Advanced Scanning and Imaging Centre is one of the busiest departments in the hospital. It was originally designed to support 20 patients a day, but now sees over 120 a huge strain on space and resources.

With your help, we can support The Christie to:

• Expand and improve facilities for a better patient experience

• Create a more dignified and comfortable environment for those undergoing treatment

• Increase capacity and reduce waiting times

• Attract and retain world-leading medical professionals

• Futureproof this vital service for years to come
