I am Joe and I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in aid of the Loughborough Junction Group (LJAG). Many of you will know me from the Grove Adventure Playground, an LJAG project, where I have worked for 7 years. The Grove is a great place, a home from home for many children, young people, and their families in Loughborough Junction.

Each year we look after over 250 children and young people, providing them with a safe place to play in the outdoors in nature away from the dangers of the streets and their screens. We organise trips to sporting activities, museums and the seaside and we provide a free hot-cooked meal at all our sessions. It is such a pleasure to see how the children and young people who come to the playground grow and flourish, gaining in confidence and self-belief.
