What am I doing? (A question I keep asking myself during training!)

In July I will (hopefully) be running 100KM in 1 day as part of the Race to the Stones. This is by far the longest I have ever run and, currently 12 weeks in to my training, the enormity of the challenge is starting to dawn on me! There is no doubt this will be my hardest challenge yet and I am training for 10+ hours a week in the hope of getting this done (kudos and thanks to my amazing partner Ali for helping me juggle parenting duties around this!).

If you can spare a few pennies for the cause I would be extremely grateful as this one is close to the heart.

The Charity

At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, we believe there’s always more we can do for our sick kids and that’s why we will always strive to do more for our patients and families. It’s our mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use our hospital.

Your support empowers us to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK. Your fundraising enables us to make our hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping us to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.

Sadly we have a family member who has needed the support of Birmingham Hospital. The care and support that has been provided by BCH staff has been second to none and we really are grateful.

This is an opportunity for us to give back, so I hope we can raise as much as possible.
