Story
On 14 March 2026, my wife Louise and I will be taking a leap well outside our comfort zones by completing a charity skydive in support of St Catherine’s Hospice.
This cause is incredibly close to our hearts. St Catherine’s provided exceptional love, dignity and care to my mum in her final days as she battled cancer. The compassion they showed to her, and to our family, is something we will never forget, and this is our way of giving something back.
We are both very nervous, but also excited, knowing that every pound raised helps St Catherine’s continue the vital work they do for families facing the most difficult of times.
If you’re able to spare anything at all, it would genuinely mean the world to us both. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting such an incredible charity.
St Catherine's provides palliative and end-of-life care and support for the people of Central Lancashire, through our specialised services at the hospice and in people’s own homes. We're here to help people facing life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure to enjoy the best possible quality of life to the end of life. It costs more than £5m to run our charity every single year. We rely on the amazing efforts and wonderful generosity of supporters like you to help us raise the funds we need. Thank you!
