Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
On the 4th of October I shall again be running Cardiff half marathon and raising money for “Metabolic Support UK”. This charity is close to my heart as last year our son Noah was diagnosed with a rare inherited metabolic disorder. This came as a complete shock to our family, however with the support of specialists Noah has adjusted well to a new way of life.
Last year I managed to raise an enormous amount of money to help support all the hard work that they carry out and the support they provide to families who are in a similar situation as us. We are very lucky that Noah is doing amazingly well and has taken it all in his stride. But unfortunately not all families are that lucky.
Metabolic Support UK are the leading organisation for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (IMDs), supporting thousands of people worldwide through providing individual support, building communities, and continually advocating for and empowering those living with IMDs.
Since its inception in 1981, our organisation has strived to support those in the rare community, expanding newborn screening, accelerating the development of orphan drugs, and acting instrumentally in establishing EURORDIS, ensuring people living with IMDs have the best quality of life possible.
