Glasgow Kiltwalk 2025 · 26 April 2025 to 27 April 2025 ·

3, 14, or 23 miles walk through Glasgow? All funds raised going towards providing intensive support to babies and children, and their families, across Scotland, affected by complex disabilities.

Story

We are raising money for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland as they have supported us with everything that our family has been through with out daughter Sophia.

Sophia was diagnosed with Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus at our 20 week scan. She has been through fetal surgery to close her spine at 25 weeks. When she was born she spent 20 days in the NICU and has had to go through 3 brain surgeries. She is a little Warrior and is always ready to take on any obstacles that get in her way. She is so determined and independent when doing everything and likes to "do it by myself" as she would say.

Each year Spina bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland need to raise over £1 million to provide dedicated support services for children, young people and adults affected by these lifelong, complex conditions. With little statutory funding they rely almost solely on donations from amazing people like you!

Although classed as rare conditions, 1 in every 1000 pregnancies are affected and in this country, SBH Scotland is the only charity with a remit to support every one affected.

SBH Scotland thank you for your support.
