Story

Spinal Research is the UK’s leading charity funding medical research around the world to develop effective treatments for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. Every year 1,000 people in the UK and Ireland are paralysed following an injury to their spinal cord.

This cause hits very close to home, as in May last year my dad was involved in an accident, breaking his neck. This accident, caused from something as mundane as an online delivery, damaged his spinal cord at C6-C-7. This left him in hospital for 6 months rehabilitating. Since then he's been recovering, utilising extensive physiotherapy, offering increased improvements every day, in hopes of walking again as soon as possible.

I am running the Great North Run in support of my dads hopefully speedier recovery with aid of Spinal Research.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!
