Story
My Granny Sue is lovely, but sadly she has Alzheimer’s. I’ll always remember how she shared stories of her adventures when she was younger and read book after book to me when I was little. Alzheimer’s has stopped her talking now and we all miss her stories, singing and laughter.
Skipton Step into Action (https://ssia.org.uk/) are an amazing charity who provided a lifeline to my Granny and our family through their services. I really want to raise money to support them to help others like they helped us. We have spoken to them and they are currently raising funds for a Nurturing Growth group as well as arranging some summer boat and train trips for those they support. Both of which I know my Granny Sue would have loved.
To try and raise money for them, I am climbing Mt Snowdon on 4th May. My fab friend, Lochlann, and his Dad, Al, are also joining us.
If anyone wants to sponsor our climb this is our sponsorship page - any contribution will help support this small incredible charity.
Thank you so much.
Joe (Freddie, Kirsty and Sammy - although Sammy isn’t coming as he doesn’t fancy climbing a mountain- but is thankful for any sponsorship!)
