Ride The Length of Wales In 24 Hours , 8 June 2024
We provide all-Wales emergency air cover to serve Wales & save lives 365 days a year

Story

The brief is simple we plan on traversing the whole of Wales Via road with just cycle power alone.

The route will start at Caernarfon Castle then we will make our away to Llanberis and though the famous Pen-Y-Pass in the shadow of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the next stop will be the UNESCO world heritage site that is Blaenau Ffestiniog via Bettws-Y-Coed.

Then down through The Heart Of Wales South bound to Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) where we will ride passed Pen-Y-Fan down towards Merthyr Tydfil then follow the Taffs Trail into Cardiff City and finish of at Cardiff Castle.

The length of this epic ride is not to far short of 200 miles with around 13,500ft (4,200m) of elevation which we will aim to complete in one go with a time frame of 24hrs!

This challenge will be in aid of our colleagues at the,

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity which provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Your donations will help keep this vital service in Wales.
