The Glanfield Children's Group organises a holiday-pilgrimage to the French town of Lourdes every August with The Catholic Association. Since 1987 we have been taking sick, disabled and disadvantaged children, and some adults with learning difficulties, together with their parents and siblings if they wish to join them, for a life-changing experience of fun, faith and friendship.

The Group’s aim is to offer a pilgrimage to people with disabilities and their families, giving service and offering the opportunity to experience the message of Lourdes and to participate in spiritual activities inspired by Our Lady as well as other fun activities enjoyed by all. Where possible, the Group tries to offer ongoing support to families throughout the year.

In order to reach these aims, the Group trains helpers to the highest standard and enhances their disability awareness as well as encouraging fundraising activities to continue its special work.

Most of all the Glanfield Family promotes ongoing fun, friendship and support between its members in the spirit of Lourdes
