Saving Lives Through Your Support. Each life-saving mission costs £3,500 and on average, we are called to at least five emergencies everyday. It is only thanks to the generosity of the communities that we serve that we are able keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.

Story

In 2024 Ash, our daughter’s partner, was treated by HIOWAA after coming off their motorcycle. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of South Central Ambulance and HIOWAA, Ash died.

I was honoured to be asked by fellow Hamwic Harrier, Gus, to be his support runner for next year’s London marathon so will be taking on that challenge as his trusty sidekick. It’s also my birthday that day so no need to be stuck for ideas for presents - just drop me a sponsor instead!

Hamwic Harriers Running Club are delighted to be working with HIOWAA as our nominated charity. This page enables our Club Members to link their fundraising activities and help us raise as much as possible for this amazing service.

Saving Lives Through Your Support.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance brings an advanced critical care team to people in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight when they need it most.

Highly skilled crews of Doctors, Paramedics and Pilots can be at the scene of an incident within minutes.

It currently costs in excess of £17,750 a day to maintain our life saving service, and it is only thanks to the generosity of the communities that we serve that we are able keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.
