Story
I will be running the 2026 TCS London Marathon for St Wilfrid’s Hospice (Eastbourne).
My beloved mum died from Pancreatic Cancer in 2008, spending her final days in comfort and free from pain at the St Wilfrid's Hospice in Eastbourne. She had a garden view and a wonderful team helping to make her feel as comfortable as she could.
When she died, the team at St Wilfrid's were also extremely kind and supportive to my sister and I, something I shall always be grateful for.
They are a charity who are partly funded by the NHS but around 75% of their funding comes from donations made by the local community. Care is provided to patients, free of charge.
In 2016 I ran my first ever marathon in Brighton and it has taken me ten years of trying to finally get a place in London! Ten years older, I may not be as quick as I was back then but I intend to try and enjoy every single step.
Whatever the amount you are able to donate, I will be incredibly grateful as you help me get closer to achieving my fundraising target. Thank you for your support.
