101 Books to read - £101 fundraising Goal.
Asking for £1 donation per sponsor and the sponsors can also recommend a book for me to add to my reading list.
How my challenge came about.
When asked at my library how many books I would like to read for the Summer Reading Challenge - the target is 6, my answer was... 101 books!
They asked if I was sure and I said to them "Yes definitely 101, it will be my Mega Challenge!" - I really love to read. 📚
My mum then looked on Google and learnt more about The Reading Agency and all the work they do for Libraries, Schools, Care Homes & so much more, they want to help everybody to be able to have books to read and help them read too, it's really lovely.
She asked if I want to be able to do something to help them too and I really want to help. So she told me how we can use my Mega Reading challenge of 101 books to try and raise £101 for them - £1 for every book that I will read... I was very excited about being able to help people be able to read books and love them like I do.
What is the Summer Reading Challenge?
The Summer Reading Challenge is a national initiative provided by the Reading Agency aimed at children aged four to 11 years old. In Hampshire the challenge runs from Saturday, 12 July to Saturday, 13 September
Children decide how many books they would like to read for the challenge. We recommend six but children can read more or less than this.
Children can read whatever they like – fiction, fact books, poetry, joke books, picture books, audio books, eBooks – just as long as they are borrowed from the library.
My Mega Challenge.
I have challenged myself to read 101 Books before it ends on the 13th September. Today (15th July) we have 6 books from the library to start off my challenge with - another 95 to go!
As I am wanting to try and help The Reading Agency I am hoping people will be able to Sponsor me just £1.00 and with this they can either select a target goal for me to reach along the challenge or recommend a book that they think I will enjoy.
