Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising money for my Uncle Anthony, a man who has faced numerous challenges in his life with incredible strength and resilience.
Since birth, my uncle has lived with cerebral palsy, and over the years has overcome many obstacles. However, thanks to the support of the Garwood Foundation, he has always been surrounded by compassionate care, personal assistance, and opportunities to work and lead a fulfilling life. The Garwood Foundation have given Anthony the tools to live with dignity and purpose and for this we as a family are truly grateful.
This year, however, has presented an even greater challenge. My uncle has recently been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. As he begins this new fight, he needs our support more than ever. While we know this will be another tough journey, we also know that the Garwood Foundation’s continued care and support will make a significant difference in his treatment and recovery.
To honour all that the Garwood Foundation has done for Anthony and others like him, I’ve decided to run the London Marathon in April 2026 to raise money for the foundation that has given so much to my uncle over the years. My goal is to raise £2,000, but I am hoping to exceed this target and raise even more to ensure that the Garwood Foundation can continue to provide the incredible support they’ve always offered.
Every penny raised will go directly to the Garwood Foundation, supporting their vital work and helping them continue to provide exceptional care to people like my uncle. Your donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference.
Thank you
Josh
