I am running the Zurich Seville marathon in February 2025 to raise money for Vasculitis UK in memory of my Dad, Chris, who passed away in February 2021 when I was 20.

Vasculitis is an autoimmune condition which causes inflammation of the blood vessels and in turn restricts blood flow to vital organs. The cause is largely unknown which is why research into this disease is crucial.

My Dad was diagnosed with Vasculitis in the middle of February 2021, and sadly passed away only 2 weeks later. He specifically had granulomatosis with polyangititis (GMA) vasculitis, which mostly affects the lungs and kidneys.

He was a larger than life character and his death came as a huge shock to everyone who knew him. This marathon is going to be a huge huge challenge for me, but my aim is to raise as much money as possible for Vasculitis UK to firstly prevent families going through what my family have, and secondly to assist families currently going through what we did. Vasculitis is a cruel disease, and understanding and awareness of it is extremely important.
