On 13 July, I will be running a 50k ultramarathon across Britain's oldest road to raise money for Hestia, an amazing London charity who support children and women in crisis across the capital and south-east.

Bird & Bird are fundraising this summer to provide fun activities during the school holidays for 180 children in Hestia’s domestic abuse refuges.

The Challenges

Staff from Bird & Bird will be taking part in two mighty challenges to fundraise for children in Hestia’s domestic abuse refuges this summer:

Race To The Stones

On the 13th of July, 31 Bird & Bird colleagues will be taking on the Race to the Stones 100km ultramarathon. The route follows the ancient Ridgeway, finishing at Avebury Stone Circle.

The Transcontinental Race

On the 21st of July, Ranulph Steiger will be attempting to cycle 4,000km unsupported across Europe as part of the Transcontinental Race. He will have to plan, research and navigate his own route – taking only what he can carry, and all against a clock that never stops!
