Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 20th October, I’ll be running the Ultra Loop Event at Delamere Forest with my best friend, Josh Bate. The format of the event is to run as many loops of the 7.7km route as possible in 8 hours.

Our goal is to run as far as possible and to see if we can get to 40 miles. It’s a huge challenge because our training has not been consistent, to say the least. No doubt there will be blood, sweat, blisters and tears.

But for me, I’ll be running those loops thinking of my good friend Ben who very sadly passed away on the 5th August after an inspirational and incredibly brave battle with cancer. The fact he handled it so courageously, worrying more about everyone else rather than his own illness was totally unsurprising for all of us who knew him. That was Ben.

When I asked him who I should raise money for, his response was immediate; The Hospice of The Good Shepherd after they looked after him so well in the final few weeks of his life.

If you are able to give anything, however small, I would be extremely grateful.
