Story
Hello All!
As I lace up for an epic year of running, I'm not just chasing personal records; I'm on a mission to raise vital funds for S.A.F.E (Supported Activities For Everyone). Five years ago, many of you rallied behind my 'Josh of the Jungle' fundraiser, where I shared the impactful story of my sister Lucy and how S.A.F.E. has been a lifeline for her and our family.
S.A.F.E., a Saxmundham-based charity, tirelessly provides assistance, accommodation, and engaging activities for adults with learning difficulties. Lucy, like many others, benefits immensely from the support S.A.F.E. offers, enabling her and others to lead independent lives within a secure and supportive environment, bringing happiness, productivity, and fulfillment to all involved.
An outstanding initiative by S.A.F.E. is the Pear Tree Cafe, not just a workplace providing employment and practical work experience, but also a vibrant hub for connection and community integration. The Cafe collaborates with various groups and clubs, such as the gardening group and the Tuesday drop-in group, showcasing and selling art and crafts, generating essential funds for the charity.
In 2024, I've set an ambitious goal to raise GBP 10,000 to contribute to S.A.F.E.'s tireless efforts. I'm taking on the challenge of running marathons across the globe, including the Paris Marathon in April, the Comrades Ultra Marathon in South Africa in June, the Chicago Marathon in October, and the Valencia Marathon in December.
Your support in this endeavor will not only propel me through these races but, more importantly, make a significant impact on the lives of individuals like Lucy and the entire S.A.F.E. community.
Let's make every step count! π
Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey!
