This will be my 3rd Marathon Major and I am raising funds for WellChild for the 2nd time. It's a privilege to be able to take part in such a special event, especially when I know that I have been able to positively impact the lives of others. I managed to qualify for Chicago Marathon and didn't need the Charity entry to get into Chicago but I would still like to maintain my relationship with WellChild and use my place in the race to continue supporting those in need.

Seeing as I don't have a mandatory target, I'd like to challenge myself to get donations from as many different people as possible instead of targeting big donations specifically. Please consider helping me to help WellChild, even small donations can make a significant impact.

WellChild Childrens Nurses provide essential care and practical support to children and young people requiring long-term or complex care. They play a crucial role in enabling children to leave hospital and be cared for at home, reducing the practical, emotional and financial impact for families.

WellChild is also committed to funding high quality, innovative projects designed to have a positive impact for seriously ill children both now and in the future. This includes WellChilds Helping Hands programme which continues to go from strength to strength, working with volunteers from companies and organisations across the country to tackle essential projects in the homes of children with serious illness. Those volunteers provide the manpower and enthusiasm for projects such as bedroom and garden makeovers.
