Story
On May 5th I'll be running my first marathon, to increase awareness of and raise funds for a very important charity: IIH UK.
Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a rare neurological disorder in which a build up of fluid inside the skull causes an increase in pressure around the brain.
I first became aware of IIH when my daughter, Ella, was diagnosed with it following months of debilitating headaches.
Very little is known about IIH, especially in children. IIH UK are doing fantastic work both supporting those suffering and funding much-needed research into the condition.
Our story has a happy ending: after countless hospital visits, a lumbar puncture and months of recovery, Ella is doing brilliantly and back to her usual self.
It would mean so much to her, myself and our family if you could donate whatever you are able to this important cause.
With deepest gratitude,
Josh
