Story
This Sunday I am running the Great North Run in memory of my mum Anna, who passed away in March of last year after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. This was a race that she took part in many times and absolutely loved, so it feels particularly special to be retreading her footsteps in this way. I'm running with some of my cousins (Teddy, Ems and Beth) in support of breast cancer charities.
In honour of her, I am raising money for Oxford Breast Buddy group - a local charity that she co-founded to support people with various stages of breast cancer in Oxfordshire. OBBG is a great charity that provides a community and support group for people going through the mental and physical trials of living with cancer. I saw first hand the positive effect that OBBG could have on people’s lives.
Mum was truly one of life's most spectacular and brightly burning people. We all miss her so much.
