Story
I am virtually running the length of Albania (442km/274 miles) over a 6 week period. From the northern most town Vermosh to the southern most town Konispol.
To do this I am running or walking the distance required. These are intentional runs and not just between the sofa and the fridge etc.
I am doing my challenge in support of 2 charities, with all donations gifted through Imagine The Day…
- Feed the hungry
&
- Friends of eagles wings
Please support me with whatever you can in raising money for these worthy causes…
Feed the Hungry" is an International Humanitarian Aid Organisation.
At one of their projects in Kibera - The Soweto Academy, they run a clinic to provide medical assistance in the area, particularly for women. The clinic is in need of basic pregnancy and maternal care equipment such as an ultrasound kit, and a baby warmer, to safely support expectant mothers and their babies. Right now, they are extremely limited.
Funds raised will go directly towards essential equipment for the clinic, improving care for young mothers in the community. Any contribution will make a real difference.
"Friends of Eagles Wings" is a UK charity supporting the work of Eagles Wings Albania. For over 20 years, Eagles Wings has provided a safe, loving, Christ-centred home for girls who are vulnerable to trafficking, many of whom come from orphanages or deeply difficult family situations. What began with one girl has grown into a life-changing ministry that has helped many young women find safety, stability, and hope for the future. Friends of Eagles Wings exists to raise awareness, prayer, and financial support for this remarkable work.
The money raised through Friends of Eagles Wings, will support the girls currently living in the home. It will help provide essentials such as accommodation, food, and clothing, and will also help fund a special retreat for the girls and house mums — a time of joy, rest, faith, and confidence-building.
It costs £200 a month to support one girl. By giving, you are helping provide not just practical support, but love, dignity, and hope for the future.
