Ran the Entire length of the Jurassic Coast for Target Ovarian Cancer

The Jurassic Coast Run · 25 September 2024
I love you Mum ❤️
26/09/2024 - 29/09/2024
I ran the entire length of the Jurassic Coast in 4 days.
A total of 116 miles with a 5,450 metre elevation gain.
All in aid of the amazing charity @targetovarian
Running from Exmouth to Poole along the South West Coast Path was an epic and beautiful challenge with huge highs and lows and to arrive at the finishing line on home soil to embrace my mum was magical and a time that I will never forget.
I can’t put into words how grateful I am for my amazing brothers efforts on this challenge. The man is my rock. Meeting me at checkpoints to make sure I was okay, fed, watered, keeping me motivated, the man that did lots of the logistics and planning, cooking and feeding me huge portions of food, and communicating with friends and family. On top of all of this he also filmed the adventure and it’s so exciting that a documentary will be made of the whole expedition.
What my mum has had to face for the last year has been really tough and she’s the strongest person I know. Doing something that has resulted in raising nearly 200% of my target is mind blowing and incredibly fulfilling. To know that as a result of raising this amount of money, people suffering from this aggressive cancer can get the support, care they need, more research will be done, more GPs will be trained and there’s more chance of an early diagnosis which is so important. I also want to thank @targetovarian for all their support throughout my journey, the whole team are amazing.
I am incredibly thankful for anyone who has donated, supported me, encouraged me, sent me texts, voice notes, called me, it really means the world and without you I would not have been able to complete this run. Thank you. Also, to my closest friends who surprised me at the end of the run for the last 4 miles in the wind and rain; that was such a special act of love.
The run along the Jurassic Coast was worth every step. This was for you Mum. This was for every person who is suffering or has suffered from Ovarian Cancer. Let’s keep fighting and keep dreaming.
Huge hugs and love to you all.
