Story
It has always been a dream of mine to work for MSF. In fact, the organisation is one of the main reasons I wanted to become a doctor in the first place. I have often felt extremely frustrated at how little power I have to make a difference in complex conflict situations around the world.
Having visited the West Bank, Palestine 2 years ago - the ongoing conflict between Gaza and Israel has been particularly challenging. In an effort to feel less powerless I have forced my Mum to join me in running a halfarathon - all to support a worthwhile cause and charity!
When I suggested the idea to my Mum she was initially very reluctant and was worried she wouldn't be able to do it. Eventually she agreed as the money was going to a good cause. Please support and encourage her with your donations!
