Story
My name is Josh Halliday and in April 2026 I’m going to be running the London marathon to raise money for a really worthy charity that is close to my heart. It’s called Family Fund, and they do amazing work supporting low-income families that are raising a disabled or seriously ill child. They provide grants which fund all sorts of things – equipment, clothing, sensory toys, days out, and moments of relief when families need it most.
This is my first ever organised run and I’m a bit nervous to say the least – but I’m hoping your encouragement and donations will spur me on! I was never ‘the sporty type’ at school and didn’t take up running until my late twenties, so the idea of pushing myself this far feels very daunting. But I’m running for a really important charity and I’m determined to go the distance. Taking on this marathon feels like a meaningful way to challenge myself while also raising money for families who need and really deserve it.
I’d be so grateful if you could make a donation to help me reach my target (every penny counts). And if you do, don’t forget to wish me good luck – I’m going to need it!
