This year I’m running The Great North Run in memory of my good friend James McKane who sadly died on August 30th 2025. I have chosen the Fire Fighters Charity as James remained a proud Fire Fighter right until the end.

He died at 46 which is no age at all. Any donation will go on to support to exceptional work that The Fire Fighters Charity do to support fire fighters, staff members and their families in their time of need.

This is my fifth Great North Run and I intend to smash the target of £1,000. Please help me along the way 🏃🏻‍♂️

Thanks for all of your donations so far! If you’ve not sent me a song for the playlist then please do. Running has felt good this week. Some decent mileage covered but some niggles in my right foot and knee are still there. Raised over £667 so far which doesn’t include the £148 Gift Aid.

Family run today in the rain wasn’t the best though 😂

All in all enjoying these summer runs in prep for the GNR which is five weeks away today.
