I’m gearing up to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11 October 2026, and I’m running for a cause close to my heart — The Children’s Book Project. Did you know that almost a million children in the UK don’t have a book of their own? It’s hard to imagine, but this lack of access to books can limit their imagination, communication skills, and future opportunities.

The Children’s Book Project is on a mission to change this. They collect new and gently used books from families and publishers and gift them to children growing up in poverty. Every book they give helps a child see themselves as a reader, opening doors to worlds full of stories and possibilities. This year alone, they aim to gift at least one million books!
