From my line of work, I have witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of homelessness within our local community. It breaks my heart to see individuals and families struggling to find a safe place to call home.

That's why I am participating in the Hull 10K 2024 to raise funds for Emmaus Hull and East Riding. This incredible organization is dedicated to supporting the homeless in our area, providing them with shelter, support, and a chance at a better future.

One of the remarkable initiatives by Emmaus is The Orchard, a community home that offers refuge to up to 30 homeless people. It's not just a roof over their heads; it's a place where they can find stability, build connections, and regain their confidence.

But Emmaus goes beyond providing physical shelter. They also have a street outreach service in the East Riding area, reaching out to rough sleepers and ensuring their safety and well-being. This vital service offers them hope and support when they need it most.
